Studio Orlo Policies

Booking Appointments/
Card on File

 

Upon booking your appointment, we require you to place a credit card on file or we will not book your appointment – NO EXCEPTIONS! This policy is to reduce last minute cancellations or no call/no shows as they will be subject to our cancellation fee. We understand emergency circumstances occasionally arise and these will be the only exceptions (sickness, family emergencies, dangerous weather conditions) to our no show/cancellation fee. 

Cancellations

 

Please note a 24 hour cancellation notice is required for any and all service/services booked.  Your credit card will be charged 50% of the price of the service that is booked for any and all services/ appointments without 24 hour cancellation notice. This charge of will also apply to clients that no call/no show for their appointment. If you book your appointment under the 24 hour notice timeline the cancellation policy is still in effect. We realize emergencies do occur, and this will be taken into consideration when charging your card. Please understand we work by appointment and without advance notice other clients on our cancellation list and our stylists lose out on potential services.

Loitering

 

Due to limited space and client consideration, our customers are asked to limit the number of bags they bring into the salon. Customers are also required to leave promptly after their appointment has been completed.

Our clients’ experience and customer satisfaction is our number one priority at Studio Orlo. Any client who disrupts the peaceful atmosphere that we strive to maintain, will be asked to leave.

Gratuities

 

Gratuities are not included in the price of your service but are appreciated if you feel as though it is appropriate. Gratuities cannot be added to your total upon checkout. There is an ATM located at the bank next door to the salon.

Gift Cards

 

Give the gift of AVEDA to someone you love! Gift cards are available at the salon​​ ​​and can be used for services and products. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

Retail Return Policy

 

Guest satisfaction is our greatest concern and therefor, retail products may be exchanged for other products or retail credit if brought back to the salon within 30 days of original purchase. Styling tools and our makeup lip products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. All products must be returned with your original receipt as only products purchased at Studio Orlo may be exchanged. 

Niskayuna Student Discount

 

​Studio Orlo ​​offers a 20% discount on haircuts to all Niskayuna Students. Offer does not apply for chemical or add-on services. This offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts.

Donations

 

Studio Orlo is happy to help in any way that we can with charitable events and giving back to our community. We ask that you ​​​send donation requests to studioorlo@gmail.com. Please include detailed information about the event as well as a letter requesting the donation.

Refunds

 

Studio Orlo does not offer refunds for services rendered. If you are unhappy with the result of your service we ask that you call the salon within 48 hours of your appointment. 

Hair Extensions

 

A Deposit is required to book a hair extension installation appointment. All hair extension installation appointments must be completed no more than 90 days from the date of the deposit. Appointments that are beyond the 90 day window will not receive a refund or credit for their deposit. After 90 days a new consultation appointment is required and a new deposit will need to be placed in order to book another installation appointment. Please note that hair extension appointments also follow our cancellation policy listed above.
