Covid-19 Guidelines/Policies

We are excited to officially announce that we will be opening on Tuesday, June 16, 2020!

We want to thank you for your patience and support during this difficult time. The health and safety of our clients and staff remains our top priority. Please read the following thoroughly as we have had to put many new state mandated protocols in place. Please visit studioorlo.com to review our new guidelines prior to each appointment as the guidelines may change as NYS enters different phases of re-opening.

 

  • Masks with the ear loops are required. We recommend a disposable one for color services (or ones you don’t mind possibly getting stained), we have a limited amount available to purchase for $2, if needed.

 

  • We do not have a waiting area in the salon. Upon arrival you must call the salon to let us know you are here for your appointment. We will then tell you if it is ok to come in or if you will need to wait a few minutes outside or in your car. If you need to wait a few minutes the salon will call or txt you when your stylist is ready.

 

  • Please make sure to sanitize your hands upon entry. Hand sanitizers will be located throughout the salon for guest and staff use. You may also use our bathroom sink to wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds if you prefer.

 

  • Please review our price list as some services have increased due to many factors out of our control. If you are receiving a color/chemical service your stylist will go over pricing during your consultation as the possible use of additional product may result in additional charges.

 

  • Due to capacity guidelines (and no waiting area) guests must come to their appointment alone. We do not have the space to accommodate extra people at your appointment. If a minor (child) is receiving a service we ask that only one parent accompany them and depending on the age of the child the parent may be asked to wait outside after the consultation is complete.

 

  • You will be greeted by a staff member and asked to fill out a questionnaire, sanitize your hands and have your temperature taken with a touch-free thermometer upon arrival at the salon. Your questionnaire and contact information will be saved in our records for our contact tracing log. If your temperature is above 100.4f you will need to re-schedule your appointment for a minimum of 14 days later.

 

  • Please bring credit card/debit card or check for payment of services as we are discouraging cash payments at this time.

 

  • Stylist tips – please have the exact amount for your tip if you wish to tip in cash. If you do not want to tip in cash or do not have the exact tip amount amount you can use a check or a cash transfer app (ex: venmo)

 

  • Salon equipment, tools, furniture and common areas (bathroom, retail, reception etc) will be properly sanitized throughout the day.

 

  • Your stylist or our receptionist will be happy to get any products you would like to purchase, please do not touch any products on the shelf.

 

  • Please bring only essential items to your appointment (phone, keys, payment).

 

  • Our hours have changed slightly. We will be open Tuesday-Thursday 12pm-8pm, Friday 10am-6pm and Saturday 9-5, by appointment only.

 

  • No walk-in appointments will be allowed at this time.

 

  • We ask that you arrive to your appointment in good health. PLEASE re-schedule your appointment if you are sick or feeling ill within 72 hours of your appointment. PLEASE take this seriously as we want to make sure to keep our salon environment as safe as possible.

 

  • Due to limited availability we ask that you give us at least 48 hours if you need to cancel your appointment. No shows (clients that do not call to tell us they can’t make their appointment) will require a credit card on file prior to reserving their next appointment.

 

  • Online booking will temporarily be disabled, please call the salon to make all appointments. 518-381-3555.

 

  • Salon stations being utilized during each shift will be at least 6ft apart. Please abide by social distancing guidelines and maintain 6ft distance from other guests and staff whenever possible.

 

  • All stylists’ health will be monitored and will have their temperature checked before the start of each shift.

 

  • Stylists will be wearing mandated protective gear during the entirety of your appointment (face mask, face shield or safety glasses, and a clean apron or smock) as well as sanitizing their hands in-between each service.  

 

  • Unfortunately, we will not have beverages, cookies, magazines or books available for our guests at this time.

 

We can all do our part to prevent the spread of illness in our community. You can help by staying home/rescheduling your appointment if you’re feeling sick. Thank you for your support and understanding. If you are healthy, we look forward to seeing you with your protective face mask! 
