Studio Orlo An Aveda Concept Salon

Coming Soon!

A jack-of-all trades, Angela juggles managing her family owned salon, creating pottery, and collecting stamps in her passport, while also working at The Orlo School of Cosmetology in Albany. Her creative and adventurous mindset is the perfect mixture for encouraging stylists to explore the many aspects of the beauty industry. Angela is notorious for her extensive knowledge of Aveda products and for having an Instagram account full of beautiful homemade meals. Her favorite Aveda products include  Suncare Hair and Bodywash, Texture Tonic, and Cherry Almond Conditioner.

When asked 'what is something you want new guests to know about you?' Megan replied, "I go with the flow." With a calming persona and always sporting a cute pair of shoes, Megan credits her co-workers and nature as her sources of inspiration; which is only fitting for someone who is always sharing stories of their adventures in hiking and camping. Her latest project has been refurbishing her new camper. With 7+ years in the industry, Megan has been loving the natural beachy balayage trend and has been influenced by her experiences and education with Aveda.  Her favorite Aveda products include Pure Abundance Style Prep, Brilliant Damage Control, and Smooth Infusion Styling Creme.

While Mary's official title is cosmetologist, the Orlo staff is convinced she's a part time mermaid. When asked what Mary would like new guests to know about her, she laughed and said, "I'm older than I look. I've been in the industry for a long time." Over 10 years in the beauty industry and 6+ of them working with Aveda, Mary has furthered her education with Aveda classes ranging from advanced hair color to advance curly hair cutting with Aveda platform artist, Jon Reyman.  Mary has recently been working towards becoming an Aveda Certified Color Educator and is fueled by her peers and her ability to be creative everyday. She strives to create natural multi-dimensional color for her clients. The first one to try new things, you can catch Mary a self-described amateur foodie and Niskayuna native, exploring new local restaurants.

There's not a day that goes by that Courtney isn't wearing her personal staple--a bold lipstick. She began her career in cosmetology after leaving the book industry and also has a background in fine arts that inspires her to create custom make-up and hairstyles for her clients. You can often find her cozying up with her small dog and her hedgehog. Her favorite Aveda products include Stress-Fix Composition Oil, Tulasara Wedding Masque, and Noursh-mint Lip Color in the shade "Poppy." With a fierce love of education and the beauty industry, Courtney someday hopes to become a cosmetology educator herself.
